 Elysium Stables - Rules
« Thread Started on Sept 16, 2007, 12:29pm »

Just Some Common Terms\\
//ElysiumStables.proboards75.com (Elysium Stables, Elysium, ES) is an online game created and run by DJ (administrator and owner) and staff.

//All content within the game is strictly virtual. No real characters, places, items or money exist in real life. Any similarities between real people, living or dead, in the game are strictly coincidence.

//This site is intended for players 13 and older, therefore has a PG-13 (US) rating.

Out of Character\\
//Treat others the way you would like to be treated. If you read this and assume because you want to be treated poorly, and you feel you must treat others poorly, go ahead and try, but don't be shocked if you get a warning or even a ban for your behavior.

//Don't complain if your application is not accepted. Nicely ask a mod if they could tell you what to correct. Arguing about will just get you a ban from the site because, honestly, the moderators have better things to deal with.

//Absolutely no fighting. If I see any fighting on the boards, it will turn into an automatic three-day ban. In character is fine, but out of character, there should be absolutely no fighting over any topic. Any offenses after the first, will be shown a permanent ban.

//Don't bother the moderators about going to look at your application. They will get to it as soon as possible. Relax.

//Please be sure to review all stickied posts and the rest of the rules before signing up and role playing.

//Please do not curse out of character. Even if something slips, do not direct it at another member. Any swears found outside of the character boards, will lead to a single-day ban warning, and after that, a permanent ban.

//This is a literate role play. This means we support and use correct grammar and punctuation. Spell check is your friend. I'm not going to warn you about typos and stuff, but it there is obvious negative performance in your ability to write complete sentences, I will talk to you about it which may later lead to a 3-day ban.

//No offensive content should be seen. This means anywhere on the site: in and out of character boards. This does not only include sexual content, but any racist or sexist comments or slurs against religion. Any of these caught will result in an automatic permanent ban.

//Please keep signatures under 500 square pixels. Any bigger then that gets in the way. If you must use large image, put it in your character's profile. Quotes, images, and things are fine, but ANY art theft will result in a permanent IP ban. NO ART THEFT.

In Character\\
//No content over PG-13 is accepted. Period. This means no interaction 'over' kissing. Anything over kissing will get a permanent IP ban. And we wouldn't want that, now would we?

//Remember, your character is not indestructible. S/he may suffer an unfortunate event and get sick, hurt, or other negative occurrences may take place. Do you have perfect lives everyday in real life? I didn't think so.

//Do not play for other characters. I'm stressing this because I, speaking as a role player, get so irritated when my character is actioned by another player.

//I'm expecting at least a bit of body in your post. There is no word count, but please, I want to see a bare minimum of one solid paragraph; longer posts are preferred. We all understand writers block, but one liners are lame and get irritating.

//All role-play post formatting should be kept to a minimum. Color, size, alignment and such is fine, but please, no glowing, scrolling text. It's hard to read and gets annoying. Please, keep post icons to the simple white page, as set. Unless it's an announcement from a moderator or myself, please don't place smilies or attention signs.
