This is the listing of all the ponies (under 14.2 hh) we have for lessons and such. The same rules apply when choosing a pony that apply to choosing a horse.

Personality: Quiet, sensible and sturdy. Flo is a beginner’s pony, ideal for learning the basic wtc for either Western or English, and basically so bombproof that nothing spooks her. Unfortunately she has slight arthritis in her hips and as such is not allowed to jump and cannot be ridden for more than an hour at a time, and as such is rarely used for anything other than the first few lessons.

Personality: Barry is confident and a showman. He knows what he’s doing, and does it apparently no matter what the person on top is actually telling him to do. Whilst extremely good for the slightly more experienced but lacking in confidence rider, he is dreadful for a complete beginner, who might not know they’re giving the signal for a lope, but finds that Barry does and is taking them off anyway. He’s slightly spooky, and dislikes the bright colours found in a jumping ring.

Personality: Harmony is a great little pony. He was bought 2 years ago and has been a lesson pony ever since. Harmony is very calm and quiet on the flat. In the jumper ring, he perks up, gets a speedy canter, turns tightly, and is very responsive. he has a great little bounce in him! He jumps almost anything you place in front of him. He is a bit spooky of liverpools, but deepen your seat, increase your leg, and he should pop right over. We had him schooling at 2' this past year. He could happily move up to 2'3"
