Smiling slightly as she accepted his invitation, this was certainly a first. Daniel had never asked anyone out before, and he certainly had never had anyone say yes, so this was definitely a first for him, and a kind of exciting one at that. Leading the thoroughbred into the barn Daniel quickly untacked him, fed him and then tossed through his back that had been sitting outside the stallions stall.
It was the only thing out of place in the whole barn, but one thing that people had to accept about him, was when he was involved, nothing ended up in the right place. Crossing his fingers, he hoped he had a change of clothes lying around. He didn't exactly carry them around all the time, it wasn't something he usually bothered with, butt he wet jeans were starting to restrict his movement, not to mention the wet band t-shirt sticking to him awkwardly.
Finally, at the bottom he found an extra pair of pants. Who knew how long they had been there, but did it really matter. Giving up on finding a different shirt Daniel quickly headed to the bathroom changing as quickly as he could, he did not want to pull a classic Dan and show up late. Pausing, for probably the first time in his life, Daniel looked in the mirror. His loose fitting black cargo pants were accented with a silver chain hanging off the leg. His black tee emblazened with the lyrics 'shadow of the day' still stuck to his side strangely at places. Running a hand through his hair to fix it up a little he through on his black hoody to cover up his shirt before heading back out to the parking garage.

Estee'd been asked out a few times before when she was still in school, but never accepted as the guys who asked her out always seemed to be ugly, clingy, and constantly wanting to please. To change just for her, she personally thought was absolutely annoying, and bothered her big time.
But she wasn't sure what she'd found in Daniel so attractive, but after they'd helped each other, she couldn't say no to the guy who was actually cute! She bit her lip, stepping into the aisle and heading to Glow's stall, getting her sweatshirt she'd left on his blanket rack.
She reached for the black hoodie, carrying it for now, and went back to the main intersection of the aisle, waiting for Daniel. Who'd hopefully remembered. Oh god it was only 15 minutes ago, what was she saying. How could he forget? But she mentally slapped herself and waited.

Striding over to Estee Daniel ran his fingers through his hair, yet again. It was kid of a nervous habit of his. And something he did when he didn't really know what to say, which was, after all, pretty much, always. He suffered from socail awkwardness, and had ever really learnt how to interact with others his same species, which, living in this world, was in important skill to have.
There last little excersion, had not exactly gone as well as he might have hoped. They had both ended up falling into a stream. Of course, she had gotten the worst of it, having fallen off her horse into it, but Daniel, was still wet, considering he didn't carry around with him a change of clothes.
"so, uh, where do you want to go?" asked Daniel not really knowing where they could get a bite to eat around here, being new to the area.

Estee began breathing when she saw Daniel. She always got tiny panic attacks at random things, and this was one of those nights. "Wherever," she shrugged, not knowing everything around the area yet. "I haven't really been around the area too much yet," she admitted, having no idea where anything in the town was, now feeling awkward about playing anti-social in her room for the past week or so.
"Although I'm sure you don't either," she bit her lip, forgetting Daniel was new also. Estee, unfortunately, didn't drive, so was usually stuck on her feet. But she didn't like socializing, so she didn't go to town even though it was a walkable distance. But driving worked well too.
She had no idea what to say at this point, feeling dumb, hoping tonight would still turn out okay.

"Well then, guess we could just drive around," he said without any real emotion in his voice at the moment. He did hope that tonight would go better then the day had, and even the day before, because neither of them had really been exactly what he might call, sucessfull, sing as they each envolved on or the other of them falling from their horse.
Walking out of the barn Daniel headed across the parking lot. Amoung the dark beat up cars that all seemed t blend together, Daniel's stuck out like a soar thumb. Sure, it wasn't in perfect condition, but he never bothered trying to keep it that way. Though many people would be, Daniel wasn't exactly fond of his car, and the only reason that it was in such good condition, was that it was hardly ever used.
Reaching the bright red saab Dan opened the door and held it open for estee after unlocking it. Walking aroud to the other side he got in and backed out of the dirveway and headed in to town.

Driving around was fine with her. It didn't seem too large a town, but there seemed to be quite a few choices. "Thanks," she smiled toward him, getting into the car and reaching back for her seatbelt. She was surprised at it's nice-looking-ness. Not that was was a word, but it didn't seem beat-up like all other teenage guy's cars.
When the car was started, the silence surrounded them and she forced herself to think of a conversation. "So, do you go to school?" she said quickly, but not sure that was the best question as she didn't really want to answer it afterwards.

"Yeah, last year of highschool," he said casually. He got good grades, getting points off for lack of class participation, but without much effort, his test and essay scores were off the charts. Though lacking street smart, as few expected, Dniel Richard Thomas was extremely booksmart, and not the other way around. "You?"
He asked the question not because he was paticularly interested in the answer, but more because he had no better idea of what to say. Pulling into town he drove down the street glancing around at the resturants, but letting her decide. He didn't really care.

"No. Er. Not really," she stated, turning away, almost embarrassed. "Online classes and teaching myself." She bit her lip, not noticing, as usual, and lifting a shoulder in a shrug, although it was such a small movement, it wasn't really noticeable. "No pubic school," she added if Daniel was at all confused.
After the suicide attempts, addictions, and the wrong friends, Estee was a completely different person before Glow and homeschooling. After starting both, life changed in a 180 degree turn, and she still sometimes got dizzy in life from the speed and direction of the turn. But it was over now, and honestly, it was amazing.
It was a bit chilly, so she slipped on her sweatshirt. Again, a lovely color, commonly found on her body; black. And she thought about other conversations, she could use tonight, not wanting to waste them now. If she could ever think of any.

"Sounds fun," nodded Daniel thinking about how fun life would be if he didn't have to deal with all the annoying kids in his school. They were all such royal pains, unable to accept anything even slightly outside the norm. Seriously, just get over it already, people aren't made in molds to be exactly the same as each other. How easy life would be if they were.
Not that Daniel would like that. Because he didn't want to be just like everyone else. Life might be easy, but it could get boring. Not that Daniel minded boring. He actually liked boring. It meant he could let his mind wander from the impossible situation that was his life.
Slowing down to a stop Daniel looked out the winder. They seemed to be in sight of all the restaurants in town. Not that that meant much because the town wasn't exactly huge, but that was besides the point. He looked around, not sure of where they should go, as long as it wasn't mcdonalds he was good. "Where do you want to eat?"

"Uh," she leaned forward, looking up at the signs. "The diner sounds good." she leaned back, into the seat.
After parking, she unbuckled, opening the car door and stepping out. She followed Daniel down the sidewalk, staying close to his side almost like a scared puppy or little child. It was getting chilly out, and it was a bit of a longer walk to the Diner, so they walked fairly quick. Her hair blew behind her, as they walked towards the wind.
She was relieved when they reached the door, rubbing her hands together, attempting to warm up. Stupid thin sweatshirt. Her hands dove into her pockets.
