Time to Cool Down - CLOSED

Liz patted Song before taking off her bridle. She then quickly put on her purple halter and put her in the cross-ties. She then removed her saddle and laid everything in a pile before grabbing a hard brush. After riding, I usually start with a dandy brush. you want to follow through with her coat. Liz demonstrated for Tori so she could try later. When Liz began to brush on her neck, the mare nickerd, for it was her favorite spot. Liz handed the brush over to Tori so she could try. She watched the girl, and she was doing a great job with it. Liz smiled and played around with Song's forlock.

She watched Liz take the bridle of before placing her in the cross ties. Once her pretty purple halter was on she was hooked onto the cross ties which looked pretty simple to do. Liz told her the first brush to use and how to use. She told her to how to use it,she had to brush in the pattern of her fur. When the brush was handed to her she smiled and walked to the other side where she did not do and brushed on her stomach tenderly but swiftly getting the dirt marks away. How was she so dirty now? She smiled and taking one hand away she patted her neck watching how content she was with liz playing with her forelock which she twisted around. She then continued on the rump just swiftly brushing.

Liz stopped messing with Song's forelock and grabbed the soft brush. Good job. Her back and rump can be a little hard to get depending on how she stands. I usually use the soft brush next just to brush off the extra dirt. You do the same thing as you did with the hard brush. You also want to get her face, which I will do. Liz grabbed Song's halter gently and brushed lightly, watching little pieces of dirt come of. She then moved on brushing her one side again, allowing Tori to do the other. Liz smiled as she realized that she was helping some one out. Helping someone get used to horses. She then handed the brush to Tori so she could finish brushing Song.

Tori grabbed the soft brush and did the same thing on her rump,rubbing in more getting the dark dirt that was on there. It soon fell of one by one as little pieces. As she did her stomach and other areas she did before with the hard brush. Feeling and hearing nothing she wanted to start a conversation. She thought of what they would talk about but she was quiet for awhile."How long have you been riding?",she said brushing her hair out of her face then she continued brushing.

I have been riding for 6 years, but just 4 months ago I decided to learn jumping. It is going great, too. I bet you want to ride now to, huh? Liz had to think about how long she was riding, but she knew it was six years. She had several horses before, but some had died and she had to sell others. Song was the only one left and she was glad to have her. Tori was well into brushing the mare and it didn't bother Liz. The bay mare stood relaxed and calm. When riding, just be calm and relaxed. It helps a lot and you have a lot of fun. Liz bit her lip, she didn't know what else to say.

She stopped brushing and held the brush close to her now on Songs side. She then listened,6 years that was alot no wonder she was so good. Tori did want to take lessons,she would be with horses every second or chance she got. She then said," I would love to to ride."

Micheal led Piceous down the aisle the horse followed camly despite the horses in the stalls along them.
"Getting used to them aren't you?" She smiled and pulled stray pieces of her forlock into a straight lock flowing down her head which Pie quickly shook her head putting it back in disorder. Micheal shook her head and rolled her eyes for no ones benift but herself. The small jot of hay danced in the spotlight of the sun streaming through the panels from outside.

Micheal walked to the grooming stalls she looked at the horse intently it looked so familiar then she saw the girl. She let out a deep breath and chewed noisly on her gum and ushered Pie into one spot beside hers. Avoiding eye contact with Liz she picked up the hard brush and soft brush and started working down the black horse's sides.

Liz laughed and patted Song's neck. I guess we are going to have to talk to Hope then. She owns this place, and I had to talk to her. Liz smiled and unclipped her from the crossties. Clipping on her purple lead rope, Liz took Song back to her stall, making sure that Tori was following. Liz really wanted to talk to Tori because she was nice like Garrett. Only, she hadn't seen Garrett for a long time and it started to bug her. Her face showed it and for a moment, she forgot about Tori being there.

Liz saw Micheal lead Pie into a stall next to hers. Hi She tried being as nice as possible since Micheal was always a little hatred toward her. She is looking good. Liz didn't know much to say, so she continued to walk to Song's stall.

Tori noticed the other girl leading her black horse down the isle. The girl paid no attention to Liz. She seemed prissy and she chewed like a cow. "Oh that is fine,I guess I will and my mom could come down.", she finished talking when Liz unclipped Song from the cross ties. They walked to her stall. As they were walking it looked like Liz was thinking of someone she loved,maybe a family member she thought. Then she looked at all the horses as the approached Songs stall. Maybe some were lesson horses,she saw some owned by Hope. She had not met Hope yet by looked forward to it. She then remembered that girl back at the cross ties,she was something thst made a big black cloud come.

Piceous laid her ears back at the moving horse. Micheal patted her side and the horse immediatly looked back at her. She was still double brushing when Liz talked to her. Her only was a look up and an eyebrow raise. She dropped both brushes into the bucket and grabbed a hoof pick out after clapping her hands to remove the excess dust. She dove into her work not paying attention to either girl. Although she had never seen the other girl she was sure it was just Liz's friend.

Once Song was settled in her stall, Liz came back with Tori at her heels. Liz really only came back to get her grooming supplies, but decided to straighten things out with Micheal/ Look, I know you probably hate me, and I guess I should accept that. But, I really don't understand why, I mean, I just moved here and I don't know everyone. Liz hated the way she sounded. Jeez, now she will think me an annoying pest now. All Liz wanted to do was get there stories right, but Micheal would have to cooporate with her. Liz was also trying to set a good example for Tori, since she was younger than both of them.

Once Song was put in her stall Tori noticed that other girl and Liz was fighting with her, or the other girl just held a grudge. She thought it was a grudge because of Liz's choice of words. Tori peered into Song's stall who watched out the bars watching what was going on Tori rubbed her nose through the bars. She did not want to be dragged into this fight,she would just listen closely.

OOC: So sorry Internet and PCs went down the hole. Now I have my PC back though.

Micheal sigh through her nose. She paused thinking for the right thing to say. Not being one for speaking before she thought sometimes it took her a little while to actually respond. She thought about what had happened that day and she wondered how she could understand how she did anything wrong. Stopping the constant brushing she flipped her arm over Pie's back and stared at the girl. Her blue eyes pierced through the space and loomed downward to the shorter girl.
"Perhaps, if you still do not know what you did, you should rethink what happened." Taking a deep breath which she never thought would be that hard.
"You rushed my horse from the behind without knowing how she would react. If I hadn't kept my horse under control your horse would have a big teeth mark on it. So forgive me if I can't seem to forgive you if you have no idea what you did."
With that she walked behind Piceous placing her arm across her flank to insure that she didn't kick. She grabbed Piceous' tail and pulled it over to her to brush it clean of knots.

Liz was okay with waiting for an answer. Her braid was falling apart, and she took it out, pulling it up into a pony tail. After reciveing an answer, Liz recalled that moment on the trail. She felt completly horrible and looked down at her feet. Song was doing a slow trot, so it wasn't like they where going fast, but she could understand what Micheal was trying to say. Look, I'm sorry. I was tought that before and somehow it slipped my mind. At the old place, all the horses where fine with each other. That day it felt like I was back there, but I wasn't. Liz felt something wash over her. She didn't really know what it was. Maybe it was the guilt of showing that she was a careless rider. So far, today had been a bad day. Garrett hasn't talked to her in a while, Hope is annoyed at her lack of ground exercises, and now this. What am I supposed to do now? Quit riding?
