Liz was finished with Song. They both worked hard, and hopefully there would be an improvement in the next couple of weeks. Liz grew bored and she flopped down onto the couch with a sigh. She looked over at a table that had several horse magizines. Picking one up, she flipped through the pages and found nothing interseting. Oh well, she murmerd to herself. She tossed the magizine back onto the table and she closed her eyes. All Liz wanted to do at the moment was to relax.
Remembering her 16th birthday was in one day, she needed to make sure her mum had everything. She had invited Garrett, Amara, Hope, and Ella. Liz didn't plan on riding, but she didn't know what the others would surprise her with. She didn't want any gifts, so she needed to tell everyone that. My life is so hard! she complained softly in her head before opening her eyes. Her head ached and she felt like going to sleep, but she couldn't do that here. Everyone would think her lazy.

Seb opened the door to the lounge and saw that someone was already in there. She debated on entering or not. Sebastiania wasn’t anti-social but it looked as if the girl was relaxing and she didn’t want to disturb her. Shrugging she walked in quietly. Gazing around she held the water bottle as she walked to the second couch. Not wanting to turn the TV on she left the remote sit. But when she stepped on the carpet the boards underneath creaked loudly, most likely disturbing the other person. ”Sorry, I didn’t mean to … disturb you” A look of shee discomfort settled on her face before she looked away and grabbed a magazine. Flipping through the pages she covered her embarrassment with the glossy cover. She quickly flipped through the magazine as she searched for English riding gear. Devon-Aire was her favorite. Expensive, but extremely reliable. But that wasn’t riding tack; that was riding apparel. She really wanted the Wintec 500 All purpose but her money was pinched right now. With her parents cutting back on allowance it was hard to get what she needed for Twilights up and coming seasonal training. She needed to start her under light saddle soon or she won’t have time to continue her training through the summer.
With a sigh she flipped to bridles. She needed to measure, search, and buy. It was so difficult. Seb can’t even count the amount of saddles she’s worked with on her fingers. Usually she sells them and buys new ones for her new horses. Twilight is actually the first horse she’s ever actually owned. Sebastiania used to train beginner groundwork for people who didn’t want to go to a professional. Since that money income has been cut off she doesn’t know what she’s going to do. Allowance if not going to be enough to get what she needed, maybe she’d talk to Hope, see if she can get a job as a horse trainer at the stables. Maybe she’d be able to work off some of her boarding too. But that’s asking too much.

Liz looked up as the floor boards creaked a new girl entered the lounge. Liz was positive that she had never seen her before and she smiled weakly. Thats okay. I'm just sitting here, thinking about what a blast it will be to be 16. Life just keeps getting harder and harder as you get older and you have to start to rely on yourself more. Realizing she was babbling on about her life to someone whom she never met before, she shut her mouth. Liz could tell her face was red from embarresment, and she didn't seem to care. She looked over at the girl realizing she was looking at a tack magizine. I guess it wouldn't hurt to look at it to. It is time I get a new jumping saddle anyway. Liz pulled herself up off of the couch and walked over to the girl. If they where ever to become friends she would have to give her name. Oh, stupid me forgot to tell you my name. It's Elizabeth, but my friends call me Liz. So you can to. Hopefully this girl would want to be her friend. Once she reached the back of the couch, she looked at the magizine the girl was holding. She was curretnly looking at the bridles, some of which Liz liked.

Listening to what the girl was saying she looked over her magazine for a brief moment to pay attention. Sixteen, oh how she missed that year. Late nights, parties, the whole works. ”Not as bad when you hit seventeen. It’ll seem easy once it’s over.” She flipped the page absentmindedly. But when she got up and started to move towards her, Seb moved a bit out of discomfort but not so noticeably to turn away the other person. Given her name Seb felt slightly better, knowing she wasn’t going to kill her or something. ”Pleasure to meet you. Sebastiania, or Seb. I prefer Seb since my full name is so annoying to say. I still haven’t figured out why my mother chose it.” Her voice seemed slightly annoyed but not at Liz. When she noticed that she was looking at the magazine she handed it up to her. ”I need new gear for Twilight, not sure where the money’s going to come from though. Parents don’t believe in pursuing my dream so they cut back on my allowance. Job isn’t working out so well right now either. Is Hope looking for any new trainers? I was wondering if I could start off some foals for future school horses.” Seb thought that she might as well get the gist of Hope’s personality from someone who’s been here longer before approaching the owner out of the blue.

I need new tack to. Song is a five year old throroughbred mare. I love her a lot and she happens to be pretty good with jumping. Since my dad gave me a credit card, and a lot of money, I could always help with the little things. No problem. Seb was nice, and she took the magizine kindly and skimmed through the saddles. She found the Wintec 500 All Purpose and fell in love with it. She could see it now: Her on Song, them doing an English Pleasure Class with a wonderful new saddle. Liz had almost forgotten Seb and returend to earth. I hate it to, how parents want you to do something totally different than what you want to do. Even though my dad gave me a credit card, he still hates the fact that I ride. He wishes that I would become a doctor when I really don't want to be. It's not me. My mum, she laughed at a story her mum told her and decided not to tell it. My mum grew up with horses and she loves that I have found something that she used to love. My mum supports everything, and since the divorce, she has tried to be with me as much as she can. Money isn't as great as it used to. Liz couldn't believe how much detail she was telling Seb. She hadn't even told Garrett all of this! What was wrong with her? Tossing the magizine back on the table, she sat back down on the couch she was prevously on.

A Thoroughbred. Seb never really could get into the race horses. Too hyper, too many leg problems if you got them off the track. She loved Spanish breeds, which is why Twilight was a Lusitano. ”It’s so constricting. At least you have one parent that supports you, being lucky in that way and being lucky that you have money.” Her shoulder shook as she laughed slightly. Oh how it would come back to haunt her parents. They were both lawyers, and it sucked. So when Seb was an Olympic finalist and for the Equestrian games and bringing in the money because they couldn’t, she could easily rub it in their faces, and she will. That’s a dramatization of course. Seb had little hopes for Olympics but if she made it that far good for her.
”Money is a necessity that some people don’t have. It sucks, cause my parents are lawyers and constantly bringing in more than six digits a year and they can’t even give me a decent allowance? So I’ll work my butt off because they won’t. They sit and file paperwork, maybe do a court case. It’s just so annoying.” Her face scrunched up out of disgust. But when the magazine hit the table she jumped slightly and watched Liz walk back to the couch.

Alli quietly pushed open the door to the lounge and peeked in. There were two girls in there, looking to be around her age. She walked in and took a seat on a nearby couch, picking up a magazine off the table. She flipped straight to 'Jumping Clinic With George Morris', as it was her favorite part of the magazine. Realizing that she must seem a little anti-social, Alli introduced herself. "Uh, hi there. I'm Alli, one of the trainers here." She smiled and then returned to her magazine.
She couldn't help having overheard their conversation from out in the hall. "You know, if you're looking for some extra money, I could talk to Hope for you. I could always use someone to do some ground work with the younger horses I have to ride." Alli paused for a second to think. "Actually, some of the older horses could use it, too. If you want to come out later I'll be riding Maggie before sunset. We can talk to Hope before I bring her in."

Liz looked over once again at the door. Another girl came in and sat down on a couch. Liz watched her pick up a magizine. Once the girl told them her name, she was polite and gave her name to. I'm Liz. I own the bay thoroughbred mare, Song. I'm glad to meet you. She didn't seem to care that many people kept coming in and out of the room. It pleased her to know that she could be making more friends than what she thought.
When Alli mentioned earning more money, Liz payed attention even more. Although her dad gave her money, she could do with extra. It ment she could get better saddles and enter more shows, she could buy her own car. Liz thought of Song and working the other horses like Alli mentioned. I have Song to worry about, but if any free time does pop up, I will gladly work some of the horses for you. A small smile was on Liz's face, and she would help out with anything that needed to be done. It was her nature to be kind, or so she thought.

The opening of the door caught Seb’s attention as she sat there. Carefully she watched the girl sit down with a magazine on English riding. The word trainer pricked her attention. She worked with Hope, that was good. ”Pleasure to meet you Alli, I’m Seb.” She stretched out lightly and sunk back into the couch, allowing it to support her entire weight. She felt kinda tired but she was too hyped up to sleep. But it dissipated when money came back into the conversation. She listened intently. Finally! Somebody who could help her. Liz started to talk first and, not wanting to be rude, she bit back her excitement and held in her words while she waited for Liz to finish.
As Liz finished Seb burst into words. ”I was thinking of talking to Hope to see if I could get a position in training the colts and fillies who were to be schooling horses, or I could help out boarders with private horses. I can only do groundwork though. Twilight is currently the only horse I’ll actually ride. Do you think you could get me an appointment with Hope to talk about it?” Her curiosity was bubbling over in waves. This was her chance to show Hope should could do it, to finally get back into the world of being a trainer and she was determined to latch onto it. Even if it brought her onto dry land she’d try again.

Alli was a little overwhelmed by the two girls' enthusiasm. "Yeah, and you won't need an appointment. I can grab Hope before she starts turn in, and we can have a little chat." She smiled brightly. Some of the young horses were rude, and she didn't have time to work with them all. "It sounds like you've got some experience training horses, Seb. If Hope gives you the okay then you can start with Bennie. He's my little baby, but he's got limited manners." She looked over to Liz and tried to think of who else there was to work with. "If you want to come and grab Maggie with me later I can hop on and show you how she goes, and then you can get on and show me what you've got."
Alli had a feeling that Hope would say that this was alright, but if she didn't right away then Alli could have the two girls do some work for her in exchange for discounted lessons. It just meant she wouldn't get payed as much, but Alli's parents were both supportive and would help her if she needed some new gear for Java or herself.

Liz grew excited as she realized she would be helping Hope and Alli. Okay. Just as long as there is some challenge involved, I'll be fine. Liz just hoped that Dressage wasn't involved. She did jumping mostly, and English Pleasure, but had no clue about Dressage. Liz didn't let Ali catch her face expression after she thought of Dressage. This would probably ruin her chance of riding. For all Liz knew, she could be getting Maggie to jump better. Her braided hair was coming loose, so she quickly redid it. A small strand of blonde hair refused to stay, so she left it alone. She couldn't help but smile since she found out about having th chance to earn extra money.
Ooc: Still short, terribly sorry!

Seb almost squealed with joy. If she could get this job she could get some extra money or a lower boarding fee. She could finally buy that new saddle she wanted. ”Thank you so much Alli. I really need this job. My parents aren’t very supportive.” A dark expression clouded her face before she looked away. She didn’t hate her parents, just the decisions they were making. ”So if Hope agrees, I can start out with Bennie, that’s a good start.” Her smile returned just as quickly. Placing her feet underneath her body on the couch she leaned forward t rest her elbows on her thighs. ”Liz, what do you do? Is it just work outs or are you a trainer?” A quizzical expression settled over her face as she watched Liz.
”Wait, when can we see Hope?” The sooner she got an answer the quicker her suspense would end. She was practically overwhelmed by it. The need for an answer was bubbling over. What if Hope said no? Sebastiania didn’t think she would but it was a possibility.

"As soon as you guys want to." Alli grinned. Both girls were clearly excited beyond belief. "Hope should be in to feed the horses soon, so we can go grab Bennie and Maggie." She fiddled with the button on her half chaps to get it to snap in and then rolled up the sleeves to her tee shirt. It was bloody hot outside, and she was already a little sweaty. Alli pulled out her ponytail and put it back up as a sloppy low bun.
"I'm sure that once your parents see you start to earn a living on horses they'll change their minds. Mine always supported me, but now that I have a job they've offered to pitch in on my gas money to the barn and such." She gave a weak smile as she stood up. There was still a lot of work to be done, and Alli was hoping to find out if there were any new students for her to take on. She could ask Hope about that when they went out to talk to her.

Liz felt a little bad for Seb. Even though her parents where divorced, her dad gave her money, but he didn't like horses. Her mum doesn't give her much money, yet she supports her with the horses 100% At Seb's question of being a trainer, Liz didn't know what to say. I'm not a trainer, I'm just now learning to jump better. she laughed a little before standing up. Liz had never seen Maggie, and she wonderd what she looked like. She still had her half chaps on and her helmet lay by one of the couches. She walked over and picked it up before talking to Alli. Sure, your just gonna have to tell me where she is. she laughed slightly before looking at Seb. They would probably be working in two different rings. Liz would be sure to tell her all about working with Maggie, that is if Hope allowed them to.

Seb hopped up at Alli’s answer to her question. Pulling her hair up she placed it into a loose bun at the nape of her neck, just to get it out of the way. Grabbing her cell phone from the table she holstered it, watching as the screen went into sleep mode. Smiling she looked back to Alli when she started to speak of her parents. Shrugging her shoulders she grabbed her jacket. ”I stopped trying to pay attention a while ago.” Pulling the jacket on she turned to Liz as she spoke of learning to jump a bit better. ”Go bareback over small jumps. When you learn to have a connection with the horse your jumps will be better. Do some equitation bareback. Anything you have to do in order to communicate with your horse. Always wear a helmet.” Seb felt smart as she gave the advice. At the helmet part she smiled. Not all horses reacted the same. Turning to Alli she spoke up again. ”No time to waste then, eh?” She felt light as she started for the door, not sure how Hope will respond. Positively hopefully.
