“Uh. Hi,” Estee seemed to say to her sketch pad. Her eyes refused to look at the girl. Why was this so uncomfortable for her? Daniel didn’t seem too easygoing with the situation either. Although, why should he have been? There were two girls. Estee and him had gone out to dinner last night. And the new girl looked very interested in him as Estee stood outside the door debating to enter, causing Estee to question the boy.
It all made sense. Sort of. There were still some details to work out. Or bigger facts... like who this girl was. A friend, girlfriend, another Estee type friend which could mean anything, pointlessly enough, but maybe also a sister, relative? Why was this so hard to understand? And why was Estee... jealous. Daniel wasn’t hers. They weren’t even dating. So why did she have such feelings. She definitely liked him. But it almost seemed like she was being cheated on. And again, she wasn’t dating him and he didn’t seem to be dating the other girl apparently.
Estee was about ready to give up, throwing her hands in the air, screaming out questions to the both of them. But no. The teenager sat politely on the couch. Beside Daniel. Her eyebrow twitched slightly. From confusion. And frustration. And just an over all pissed feeling. She had no idea who she was even pissed at. Daniel or the other girl didn’t seem to do anything wrong, and yet, they both seemed to be heading toward Estee’s bad list.
Wait, how could she say that? She liked Daniel. A lot. And although she was most likely not liked back, he had taken her to dinner list night. And ridden with her, leading the stubborn gelding through the water and getting his boots wet. Just for stupid little Estee. Maybe she was pissed at herself. Yes, that was it. She couldn’t blame Daniel. Although there was no reason why the other female couldn’t say on the bad side, Daniel could be relocated. Not to the good side, but a side that... showed Estee really didn’t know what to do with him. He could stay there. For now. It wouldn’t take long from him to make a movement or say something, recapturing Estee’s heart and moving him to the good side. But that’s how her mind worked. ‘Emo girl’ over there on the other couch was on a side. It was the bad side. Why? Who cares. That’s where she was. And that’s where she was staying.
Maybe her mood swings were caused from exhaustion. And if not, it was still a great excuse. She got them often enough. And she couldn’t help it. No one could. But forgiveness and understanding durning interactions helped greatly.
The drawing in front of her, scrawled on the paper, consisted of about seven lines. What was the drawing? Greaaat question. Estee’d cross that bridge when she got to it. But she added more lines mindlessly, turning it into a friendly Fjord-styled pony.
Okay, she lied. None of the thoughts made sense. And your point is?

She looked at the girl, then looked away. She didn't seem interested in talking to her. Amber could care less. Not long ago she had just finished crying. She pulled her legs up to her chest, and hugged them, and buried her face. She sighed. Wondering if they'd as what was wrong. If they didn't? Currently, she could care less about. She didn't really care about anything anymore. It simply wasn't worth trying to her unless it had a good outcome. And this didn't look like it would.

Daniel's headache was getting worse. He didn't know what was going on here. What was happening in his current situation. He liked Estee, a lot, but he felt like he was being thrown into the cheating boyfriend seat, but he didn't know what he was supposed to do in the situation.
Daniel was used to headaches. They were symptoms of insomnia and depression, both of which he had. But some how, it just didn't seem to want to go away. He felt like the room was spinning around him. Thing began to come in and out of focus, before coming out of it all together. He slid from his seat as his surroundings faded to blank and his head hit the floor, along with the rest of his body.

As Daniel collapsed onto the floor, Estee’s glance moved up from her sketching rapidly. She was quick to stand, but half squatted half fell to the floor beside Daniel, not knowing what to do. Estee didn't want to sit him up because the blood needed to travel back to his brain, she wasn’t sure what else to do, but hoped this worked. It shouldn’t take long for the blood to reach his brain, bringing him back to consciousness, but the few seconds it did take felt like forever.
Estee’s heart was beating fast. All of this seemed so out of reality. It was an awkward feeling that almost made her feel uncomfortable. And the other female in the room may have made it more or less uncomfortable, whether it was her presence annoying Estee or that she was here so it was more comfortable because she wasn’t alone with Daniel. The teenager wasn’t sure; but Estee hated the feeling.
The sixteen-year-old was careful to keep an eye on Daniel. She felt really bad even though it wasn’t her fault and there was nothing she could have done differently.

She heard the thud on the floor, snapping out of her position. She nearly jumped to the floor. Turn him on his back. And make sure he's breathing. Amber helped the other female turn him over, but she let the female check if he were breathing. Of course Amber knew CPR, she had taken the course. But it would look and feel awkward and strange giving him CPR. When Amber had headaches, she, too would pass out. Or if she were just dizzy. Sometimes she'd stop breathing. She didn't know if he could breathe or not, but she hoped he could.

Coughing Daniel gasped for air for a minute before starting to breathe heavily. Slowly he began to open his eyes, before shutting them. He repeated this rapidly till his eyes adjusted a bit to the light before leaving them opened half way. Groaning he tried to pull himself up to a sitting position but gave up slumping back to the ground.
He could hear people around him, but his vision was blurry and from the angle he was at he couldn't see them. "Estee? he asked. He was feeling kind of out of it, and wasn't really quite sure what was going on, but he had a feeling that she was one of the people present. "What happened?

As he regained consciousness, Estee began breathing again, letting out a breath she didn’t know she was holding in. “You fainted,” she explained, hushed.
She sat down next to him on the floor, helping Amber sit him up slowly and gently, her arm around his back. “Have you eaten anything today?” she asked him worriedly. A low blood sugar could have easily caused the faint. Her hand reached up to his clammy forehead, frowning.
She wanted to invite him to some food or a glass of sugary tea, something to get him feeling better, but the other female in the room made her uncomfortable and self-conscious, therefore she’d really rather not take her with them if they went somewhere. So Estee stayed quite, gazing at Daniel, still worried.
Speaking of food, Estee hadn’t eaten yet either. It wasn’t uncommon for her to skip breakfast and just have an early lunch. Most likely what she’d do today. After she got a chance to sneak out of the barn. She hadn’t worked Glow today yet either. Gosh. She’d have to do that later today as well. Most likely alone, as Daniel was in no shape to ride with a possibility of fainting again. But she rode alone often, so that worked just fine. She really shouldn’t be relying on Daniel to go out on a ride, but yesterday was amazing for the teenager, even with the fall and she’d have adored to do it again.
“Do you want something to drink?" she asked the boy softly, but she decided to get him more water before he had a chance to answer, whether he wanted it or not. She stood up to refill his glass of water, slowly removing her arm from around his torso, running a hand downward through her already flat hair as her teeth closed on her lip.

She saw he was up now and speaking, so she sort of sat there, staring. She watched 'Estee' or so he guessed it was her name from what he said. She moved her arms from around him and looked away, waiting for Estee to say something. Or daniel.

Daniel let out his usual string of curses as he thought about the situation at hand. How humiliating was this? It was pathetic. He could not believe that he had gotten himself into this mess. Not that there was really anything he could do about it. But that wasn't exactly the point right now. God, he felt like such a moron right now. But there wasn't really anything he could do about that now.
Trying to pull himself to his feet he gave up after a moment and kept his seat on the floor, his vision coming back to him. For the first time he noticed that it wasn't just him and Estee. He was trying to remember what her name was. He had a feeling that it started with an 'A' but he wasn't really sure.

Estee lowered herself back onto the carpet next to Daniel and handed him to glass of cool water from the small sink in the kitchen area of the lounge. She couldn’t remove her eyes from his face, still overly worried about him.
Her hands laying in her lap twitched occasionally. Just because she didn’t know what to do with them. She wasn’t sure if they should go back around his torso, but she let them lay in her lap silently.
The fact that Amber was there bounced back into her mind because she’d basically forgotten that she was here. She was turned away and for some reason, Estee didn’t feel the need to reach out to her. She was still shoved into the far end of the bad list and Daniel, as Estee had predicted, won his way back over to the good side. She felt so bad for the boy.

She sighed, standing up, she went over to the window, and stared out it. Why me? She mumbled it, although you could still hear it. She knew they heard. She didn't care. She didn't care about anything at the moment. She often thought about ending it all. She really wanted to, but something somehow kept stopping her.

A smile twitched onto his face for a minute as she sat back down next to him again. Were they going out? He didn't know. He wanted them to be. But he didn't know what to say. Oh god, this was awful, he wanted to say something, but he didn't know what. He didn't know what to say. He felt like he had such a great opportunity here, to ask out the most amazing girl, but he didn't know what to do with it. He didn't know what he was supposed to say.
So he said nothing. Reaching out he brushed a lock of her ebony out of her face. All of a sudden he became so aware of everything around him. He could feel and hear her breath. He felt his heart beating like mad. He swore he could have heard heard a pin drop on the carpet, a nearly impossible feat. He was so aware of everything. He was really going to screw this one up he knew. What the hell was he thinking? He was going to screw everything up, but he did it anyway.
Leaning forward he kissed her. He didn't know what he was supposed to do. Oh god, he was such a loser, but somehow it just seemed right. He always felt like it was going to be this whole awkward experience, but somehow it just felt natural. Being here, being with her. It just felt right. He didn't know why, he didn't know what, but it just did.
After a moment of hesitation, unsure of what he should do he snaked his arms around around her waist holding her close to him. Such a short time felt like such an eternity. Time going slow was usually a bad thing but not this time. Finally he pulled away, only because he needed to breathe to avoid passing out again. Of course, he felt like he was going to anyway, his head was spinning, his heart was racing, but he never felt better.

The teenager thought she caught another smile as she sat down next to the boy again. But it must have only been her imagination. Right...? She stared into her lap. Black fingernails shifting around, cluelessly. She glanced up again, a bit surprised to see Daniel staring at her. He didn't seem too great with eye contact usually, but it felt amazing now. The usual self-conscious Estee didn't mind being stared at by Daniel.
As the boy leaned closer, Estee didn’t move away. Her eyes glued to his lips. They seemed to be getting closer. And as his face got close, her head turned a few inches to one side, avoiding crashing noses. All too soon, their lips touched; her eyes closed and heart seemed to stop beating. An indescribable sensation swept over the teen. The closeness of the two bodies. The warmth of each of their breaths. The taste of his lips. It was all new. And all amazing. It seemed so right although it was so abrupt and seemingly random.
Her arms wrapped around his torso automatically, without thinking. Never having kissed a boy before, she had no idea when to break the kiss, so she let him stop when he wanted. The time it lasted seemed like a dream, lasting forever, and she had to say, disappointment swept over her as he finally pulled away.
Now Estee seemed to be feeling dizzy, swamped with an adrenalized and emotional feeling. Her arms didn't release his body in fear of flopping over onto her side almost like a dead fish. That'd have been just perfect timing. But she stayed close to him. Estee stared into his eyes, blinking curiously having no idea what to do or say. So she stared.

She saw Estee kiss Daniel. She barely knew him, and yet she was mad. Tears in her eyes, she wanted so bad to kick her. Something. The tears began flowing down her cheeks. It had reminded her of the night of... No. She wouldn't think of it. Not now. She glared at the girl, crying. She knew they were together now. She got up and ran out of the room. Stopping just around the corner. She lay on the ground, crying.

As he pulled away he retracted his arm from around her waist placing it around her back instead. After of course ruffling his hair. What was he supposed to do in this situation. He didn't want to absolutely screw this one up, but he didn't know how. What was he supposed to do now. I didn't want to screw this, what do you do in this situation. He really liked Estee, but he didn't know what to do about it. Did he tell her? If so, how? It was all just so confusing. He wasn't very good at conversations, but this was even harder.
