Darcy lead her fully tacked mare into the sandy ring. There should be no distractions in here, as Hapy tended to get very jumpy outside. Outside there were animals, birds, cars, tractors, footsteps, everything to be afraid of, well, when your a horse. Hapy was not the kind of horse to ignor every noise and gracefully walk by it, she was the kind of mare who would freak out, and spook at everything strange.
Darcy hadn't ridden in about six years. When she was just ten years old her pony threw her and she had been in a coma for a month, and still had brain problems until she was fourteen. After two years of recovering, she was fit to ride again. But she was still nervous, and jittery around horses. Her mom bought her Hapy to start her riding again, but that wasn't what she needed. Hapy was big, and young, when she needed a calm lesson pony to regain her confidence. She had only been riding for a week since her accident, and she had rode a calm pony. Darcy was nervous as heck as she swung onto Hapy's broad back.
The moment Darcy put her feet in both stirrups, Hapy broke into a trot.
W..whoa there girl. Darcy said timidly, and struggled to regain control.
As Darcy became more and more nervous, Hapy became more agitated and danced around and swerved from side to side. Darcy was fighting to regain her balance, but she could do it. She almost started crying. This was just too much...too much too soon.

Micheal appeared from nowhere and grasped the reins of the dancing horse. Immediately she rubbed the horse's cheek and cooed sweetly. Whispering almost silent whoas her stoic face glanced up and down studying the rider. She squinted her eyes but said nothing. She had no horse but she was dressed in breeches that were stained with the fresh stains of everything horse. Calming the young horse she looked at the rider. Fear seemed to wrench her face. She wondered who she was and what she was doing with a horse like this. But she knew that even a great rider that looses his confidence can upset a horse. "Are you alright?" She said with as much concern as she could muster which wasn't much. She sighed along with the now settling horse.

Darcy was shocked that someone came over and grabbed her horses bridle. At her old barn, no one would have the nerve to do that, let alone talk nicely to someone else. Her old barn was a snob-fest.
Thanks. Darcy said gratefully, This is the first time I've ridden her, ever! And I've only been riding for a week since my accident! My stupid mom had to go and be all stupid and buy me the horse with the most temperament possible! Oh, eh, sorry, just venting a little.
When she was done talking, Hapy jumped forward, as if to prove a point

Darcy managed a smile towards the girls.
I'm Darcy, Darcy Price, and this is Hapy. Shes really green, as you can tell. Darcy said, more calmly now.
Hapy nudged Micheal roughly and pulled up to get her head away from the reins. Darcy stroked her gently, her hot pink hair falling into her heavily made-up eyes. Her hair was always dyed a bright color, and her eye make up was always bright, and matched her hair on a regular basis.

Micheal glanced at Hope but looked again at the rider. She saw her tight posture and grip on the reins. Seeing clearly how the horse could get upset. At mention of an accident she wondered what happened but wasn't about to ask. "Uh, Micheal" Then realizing that could mean anything. "My name's Micheal." She tried not to but her horse sense got the better of her. "If you relaxed your horse would also." Still squinting she looked at the rider's face but soon went back to calming the agitated horse.

I'll try. Darcy said, I rode everyday since I was five, till I was ten. Then I had my accident, my riding kinda went downhill from there.
Darcy thought of the memories she had when she was ten. Flying around the 2ft course on the back of her tiny pony. She smiled at the thought and looked back at the girl standing with her horses reins. She was unsure weather to ask her to let go so she could try again, or too wait for more help.

After seeing the horse and rider relax she nodded and let go of the reins. Stepping away she watched closely. She knew how hard getting back on a horse could be and she sympathized but she also knew there was only one way to beat it. "Just do whatever your comfortable with."

Um. OK. She said hesitantly, she found it weird that a stranger was telling her what she should do with her horse, she didn't mind, it was just strange.
Darcy calmly collected her reins and made Hapy stand still and semi-clam before asking her to walk. At first the bright chestnut mare would pull and dance around. But after a few walk laps, she calmed down enough to walk forward smoothly. Darcy had a naturally good riding position, but it was hard to keep her posture while trying to control Hapy with invisible commands. Darcy smiled when she got Hapy walking around the ring smoothly.
