Lyris stood slowly, careful not to jar her arm. She followed Micheal out of the arena and toward the barn.

My car's right over there, she said, pointing with her good arm to a new-looking blue Prius that was parked in one of the spots closest to the barn doors. You know the way to the hospital?

Maybe someone ought to tell Hope, she thought. Oh, I'll just call her. She's probably teaching a lesson somehwere.

She waited for Micheal to unlock the doors and slid into the passenger's side, moving her purse to the backseat with her good hand.

Micheal slid quickly into the driver's seat of the Prius. She fingered the key into the keyhole and turned the ignition on. No, but I'm sure you do. , She smiled then realised how stupid she sounded. Pulling out of the parking lot she turned on to the main road smoothly. She raised an eyebrow at Lyris a silent ask for directions.
