Liz asked Prim to come forward, but the filly stood. She grew impatient and pulled harder and the filly finally moved. Liz made sure the gate was closed and unclipped her halter. The filly stood there, wondering what she was to do. Liz pushed her out, almost forcing the mare to canter in circles around her. Prim hesitated at first, but went without anymore questioning looks. Liz kept eyecontact, looking for two signs from the mare. She wanted to see her inside ear facing her, and then Prim lowering her head, chewing on the air. Liz knew that this ment she wanted to be with her, and that the filly would follow her. After a few long minutes, Prim's inside ear began to flick towards Liz's direction. Then she began to chew the air, and Liz turned her back on the filly. Liz waited patiently for the filly to come in to her, and with luck, she did. Liz took a few more steps forward, and then felt the mares breath on her shoulder. Turning around, Liz stroked her neck, for the join- up was a success. She praised the filly and clipped the lead rope back on, heading towards Hope.

Seb handed over the lead to Prim and watched Liz go into the arena. Seb had already performed the join up, but it was good practice for Prim. Especially with different people. She could tell Hope was a bit annoyed but it wasn’t her fault. Prim wasn’t exactly a school horse just yet and it was hard to exercise an unbacked horse when their training was slim. Seb leaned against the fence lightly so as not to bend it. But when Liz came back after the join up Seb smiled to encourage her. Seb wasn’t sure what Hope would say or whether Liz would even get the job.

"Nice job," Hope spoke to the girl. "Ready to bring her back to the barn?" She smiled and swung open the large metal gate, allowing the girl and filly to come though.
"You guys both did a nice job. I can have you guys come back in a while, or I'll come and see you. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do yet." Hope didn't let disappointment show in her voice, even when there was a possibility of one, both, or none of the girls getting the training time with the filly. And if they didn't work well with the filly, there were always other jobs around the barn that could be worked on.
Hope strode back to the barn with Prim, Liz, and Seb next to her, following alone.

Liz was proud of her self and Prim, but she didn't think she would get to work the horses any more. Thanks she murmerd. Liz didn't know much ground exercising, and hoped that id didn't ruin her chances, and she hoped that Seb would at least get the job. If she did, Liz would help all she could to help her. Liz followed the others slowly, but decided she could spend the rest of the night with Song. She would probably do join up on her, for she hadn't taken the time to do it much. Song could also use a nice soft, quick brush too, even thought she groomed her.
