Micheal could feel Pie tense up when she heard the other horse. She groaned and turned Piceous around so she wouldn't get taken up on from behind. At the mention of Liz's name her eyebrow quivered up. "Quite determined isn't she?", She whispered to Pie who watched the other horse carefully her tail twitching faster with every stride the other horse took in her direction. Half wanting to tell her no she looked closely at the other younger girl. Did she really want to hurt another girl like she did the other. She clenched her jaw to the side and rolled her eyes. "Um, I don't think you'd want to. My horse doesn't tolerate other horses well and I don't think you or me would want to get hurt in any sort of struggle." She tried to keep her tone as neutral as possible but she feared that she came off too rigid. I'd think your friend would have more sense than that. "So much for our peaceful trail ride, huh Pie?" She whispered to her horse.

Amara saw her unease, noticed the horses obvious tension, she studied them for a moment, the words and excuses went over her head. Some tension came to the mare from them, most of it. Some came from herself, silly mare, and some came from her rider. Amara then realised she was staring, blinked and stroked Gallant. She shook herself almost literally out of her thoughts and smiled.
oh ok, sorry for bothering you then. What's your name? maybe I'll see you at the stables? (oh and could we overtake, because there is a lovely log coming up that we'd like to jump please.)

"Uh, Micheal." She called. She didn't have any problems with Amara but she'd rather not see Liz at this time being as she just almost ripped her head off.
"I think I'll just go ahead quickly." And with that she turned Piceous quickly and took of in a working canter slowing disappearing into the trail.
Wow, you've managed to hurt two people in one day. Bravo, Micheal. She rolled her eyes and leaned closer into her horse's blowing mane. The soft hairs tickled her cheeks and nose as she asked for a hand gallop. Piceous lurched forward eating up the ground with every stride and enjoying the exercise after being in her stall most of the time. Micheal got into jockey position and laughed as she felt the breeze making her eyes water. And somehow she wished she could race another horse.
OOC: Short post for me too. You can decide if you want to catch up or not. At least something exciting. XD

Liz grew angry, and she turned Song around quickly. Trying to make friends was the last thing I should have done! She yanked on Song's mouth and kicked her into a canter. Trying to get away was what she cared about now. Realizing that she could have hurt the mare, she pulled her to a stop halfway down the trail. I'm sorry girl, I'm so sorry. Small tears formed in her eyes, and she almost wished Garrett was with her. He, at this point was her only true friend. Liz gently wiped the tears away, asking nicely for Song to canter. The sooner she got back, the better. The mare deserved a rest, and the next day Liz needed to practice for the next show.
At last the pair made it back to the stables. Song was drenched with sweat, so Liz quickly took her to the grooming stalls. Maybe she should ask her mom to move again. No, she couldn't. Liz would miss everyone whom she had become friends with, and she didn't want to start all over again. Song nickerd and butted her head in Liz's stomach. Liz laughed and hugged the mare, stroking her neck.

Amara stared as liz cantered off in a huff. So this was Micheal. She seemed nice enough...
What got into her? she said to Gallant, forgetting that Micheal was behind her for a minute. Then she turned sheepishly around, and saw Micheal was just about to move off. Gallant fidgeted, chewing his bit and pawing the ground, his tail flicking overtime to rid his flanks of flies.
Mind if I ride with you? I don't know the way back, and I don't think Liz wants following.... She asked.
I'll make sure Gallant keeps a good distance away from Pie. I used to have a mare like her, didn't like other horses.
When she recieved a nod, she nudged Gallant into a trot, his stride was unusually choppy due to his excitement of song cantering off, and following Pie. Squeezing the reins gently to ask for a walk when she'd caught up, Amara kept a horse and a half's distance between Songs hocks and Gallants nose. When the track opened up into a field, she brought him along side, about 2 horses width away. it was a comfortable silence, broken by muffled hoofbeats and bird song.
How long have you had Pieceous?

Micheal pulled up Piecous who danced to a bounding trot a clear indication that her muscles had been worked. Micheal's slightly stoic face watched Amara's face studying her question before, after a short while, answering. "When she was born in Germany my parents had been looking for a horse for me for quite sometime. They bought her for me but she was kept there until she could be trained in under-saddle work. I personally got her when she was around her late yearling stage so I could finish her training." The speech brought on a sudden renewing of fondness for her Hanoverian. The horse watched the palomino closely. She was quite for a few moments with a blank look on her face as if she was drowning in her thoughts of the past. As if just realizing she wasn't alone she took a deep breath and looked at the younger girl. "Your horse?" Then heard how much of a vague question it was. "How long have you had him?" The steady plodding of the walking gait rocked her gently. They would soon be to the stables and she didn't want to seem as rude as she felt.

Amara nodded. Ok, so it wasn't an exact answer, she didn't know how old Pie was, but wow! from Germany. She looked at the mare, eyes gliding over her well-built body, then focusing in on the eyes, beautiful blue wall eyes. Amara wasn't fond of wall eyes, but Pie owned a particularly nice pair, and with her smooth even coat, it was a lovely asset.
Gallant? He was my birthday suprise 6 years ago. My fathers favourite mare was having a foal to one of his friends stud, it was a free stud though, some favour he was repaying from long ago.... anyway. We went out to feed the horses on my birthday, and there was Gallant, tiny but perfect, suckling off his mum. His coat was just drying out....dad said that if I trained him up just right, then I was allowed to keep him........
she said, trailing off.
........he'll be devestated to know that aunt had him gelded.
