Killer Scents and Suffocating Fragrances

She tried on the shoes Seb had suggested, Perfect. These are nice.. They'll make me closer to Amona's height. She paused, sighed. Ugh. Sorry. I keep thinking about him. Yet, I have this feeling that he wont like me..

She stood up and looked at how the shoes looked on her. They made her go from 5'11'' to about 6'3''. She sighed once more, daydreaming again. She found herself whispering "What's wrong with me? Why..." and hoped Seb hadn't heard. But she probably had.

Seb groaned as Amber finished speaking. ”Shush now. There’s no reason anybody in this giant world of ours could think of that would say he wouldn’t at least be an awesome friend. So shush, think positive.” She smiled at Amber, hoping to cheer her up again. She shuffled through the shoes slowly, taking great consideration. What had Amona been wearing that day? Hmm. Black pants, most likely either parachute or just baggy. A chain, most likely attached to a wallet. A dress shirt with a beater underneath. Anything else? Seb couldn’t think of anything else, his piercings don’t count. Well, he does like black. And certainly likes weird hairstyles.

Pulling a display shoe off the shelf she examined the heel and styling. White, with a black toe and heel. Checkered ankle straps, easily either satin or silk. Most likely satin. ”Hey Amber. What about these?” She pulled Amber’s size and walked back over to her. She did remember Amona having checkered tattoos on his arms.

She was about to reply to what Seb had said, and then stopped. Maybe he would be a great friend. But if he didn't want her, she didn't know what she'd do.

She looked at the shoes Seb had held up, the heels were about two to three inches. Not too tall. She tried them on. These are cool, I've never seen high heels like these before. She stood up and walked a bit back and forth in them. They weren't difficult to walk in. She liked them. She walked back over to Seb and looked at herself in the mirror. These shoes would go good with her outfit.

Why don't you like your name? Although, I don't like mine much either. It was a random question, she knew that. But she wanted to ask before at Target, and forgot to. She looked at her watch. 10 minutes until their appointment.

Seb handed off the shoes as Amber grabbed them. Watching patiently she was happy to see that Amber liked them. And they looked gorgeous on Amber. Doubled with that outfit she had picked out it shouldn’t be a problem getting the guys to drool a bit. ”Neither have I but they look awesome on you.” As Amber came back she opened the box back up and waited for Amber to take them off. But her random question stunned Seb for a moment. Catching her words Seb answered. ”I don’t know. It’s too long, it was originally a guys’ name. And it also means ‘From Sebaste’ in Italian. Wherever that is.” Seb shrugged half heartedly. It wasn’t so much she didn’t like the name but she just didn’t feel it suited her very well. Looking at her phone just as Amber checked her watch she scrunched up her nose. Only ten minutes. They had to hurry if they wanted to make the appointment.

My name just seems.. Too girly for me.. Amber put the shoes back in the box Seb was holding. She walked out towards the checkout, and watched Seb get out her credit card once more, and buy what they had.

She saw the nail salon a few stores down, and walked with Seb over there. It was called "Nail Emporium'' Nice name.. Sounds kind of like a hardware store. It should be called something like.. Manicure Mania or something better than Nail Emporium..

"Yeah, it is kind of girly" She smiled as she walked. Following Amber after purchasing the shoes she stood under the sign. What a weird name for a nail salon. She almost laughed at it, but held it in. Stepping inside she was blasted with suffocating smells of polish and polish remover. Stepping up the counter she rattled off her last name and waited as the clerk looked for it. Tapping the book the clerk walked from behind the counter and led her to a chair. The person behind it smiled at her and Amber. Seb didn’t sit down, she’d do hers last.

”Is there anything special you want done today Miss?” Her British accent tortured Seb’s ears. As appealing as the accent sounded she had heard it way too many times and enough to make you sick to your stomach.

She walked in, and sat down. Uh, yes. I'd like clear, shiny polished nails, with white tips. And something like a skull design or something on each one? Thanks. She smiled, hoping she could.

"Oh, yes dear. Your nails are going to come out gorgeous." The lady was a little too nice. It kind of freaked out Amber. She sat there, and watched as the lady did her nails.

Seb coughed a bit, trying to rid her lungs of the awful stench lingering around her face. Waving away the horrid air she pulled up a chair and sat down, leaning back into it. As the lady spoke Seb watched her cautiously. It was like she was in front of a murderer who was way too nice but about to stab you anyway. The feeling was awkward. Looking over at Amber she gave a look that spoke her thoughts on the lady. ”So, besides make-up, which we can do ourselves, is there anything we’re missing?”

She noticed Seb cough at the smell. Amber was actually quite used to it. She had painted her nails so many times before, she didn't really notice the smell anymore. Yes. Earrings. I don't have many earrings. Just the stud ones. I have a necklace I want to wear. Theres two black ones and a white one. I don't like hoop earrings, but I kind of like the dangle earrings. She wondered what kind of earrings to get. Skulls maybe?

OOC: The necklaces she was talking about are the ones in my signature

Seb nodded at her suggestion. ”Earrings would definitely help a bit to make it look complete. But where to get them? Maybe we can hit Claire’s.” She pondered the possibilities. A necklace would also go with the earrings. She stood up and scanned the large racks of polish and styles as she went into thinking mode. Maybe a choker. But would Amber go for that? Stepping back up beside Amber she smiled. So far the polishing was going nicely.

Claire's? Eww. How about Rave? They've got earrings. Rave's down over by Debb's. She looked down at her nails, they were very shiny. Long, and even, too. Instead of the long and uneven nails she had before. She had all of the polishing done, and 7 white tips done. 3 white tips were left, and then the design. She sighed. She looked over at one of the receptionists, and stiffled a laugh. Her nails were literally almost an inch long and BRIGHT pink.

Seb was stunned at Amber’s remark. Seb hasn’t been in Claire’s in a while but the last she had heard they had installed a new department of ‘emo’ and ‘goth’ stock. ”Or Nirvana’s Closet. I heard they had some pretty nice choices to look at.” To be honest, she had been scared of Nirvana’s, still is in a way. And Spencer’s too. All their stock creeped her out just a bit. OK, so it scared her a lot. But could you blame her?

Nirvana's closet? Never heart of it.. We can go there. Some stores she disliked, like abercrombie or limited too. She went there when she had to. But Claire's? She went in there once and never went back. Same with Spencers.. Especially the stuff they have there.. Creepy stuff.

Looking over at Amber she added a questioning glance to her expression. Never heard of Nirvana’s Closet? ”I’ll have to show you. If you’ve ever seen those piercing extremists who have like, chains from their noses attached to their ears, they most likely buy those type of piercings from Nirvana’s. It’s filled with shiny stuff.” Seb smiled. She liked shiny stuff.

Haha. Shiny stuff is awesome. Don't expect to get me out of there for a while. As they walked into Nirvana's Closet, she stared at all the shiny things they had. A pair of earrings cought her eye. They were white dangly earrings with a black.. What was it? A wrecking ball? It looked like one, but it was spiked. She showed them to Seb.
