Micheal slipped the saddle on to the buckskin and adjusted the girth. The horse flicked his tail but didn't try to fight her. When she slipped the bridle on he seemed to be recovering from being head-shy but he took the bit willingly. After the horse was tacked up she double checked it. Taking him to an sparse place she waited for Hope. After seeing Hope she swung up without stirrups and settled into the saddle.
She walked the horse around and felt his movements studying his expertise.

Hope led the horse out with Micheal and mounted, yanking on the stirrup, pulling the saddle off center. The steel grey turned his head around, checking on what Hope was doing, and she laughed and scratched his head. u spun his head back around forward and waited for Hope to mount. She mounted and settled herself, asking for him to walk.
He walked forward smoothly. She asked him for a trot a bit later. It was a large, bouncy stride, not terribly great for dressage, but after trying to collecting him, he slowed, although he didn't understand the collection and his head stuck out in front of him. After asking for the canter, he spend up, throwing his head up once. She asked for a flying change and he put his head down, bucking once, and swapping his leads, throwing his head up once more, then taking off smoothly.
Hope took him through a few more exercises wishing there was something to jump, but kept him moving on the flat work.

Micheal cantered the Warmblood his big stride caught her off guard but she caught up quickly. He would be a monster over some jumps. She slowed him down to a trot and like usual horses that have big strides his trot chopped her body to pieces. But getting him into an extended trot with a small post she missed the bump.
Micheal tried some more dressage movements but the extent of his knowledge seemed to be collected and extended gaits but he was very willing. He responded most to the bit and only a little to the leg. Micheal looked at Hope with an excited smile. It was almost time.

Hope looked over at Micheal and nodded, pulling the horse to a halt.
She hopped off and wanted to get to the auction. She ran up her stirrups ad brought the horse back, thanking the owner.
She ran with Micheal, grinning, to the auction arena, finding a seat in the blue mass of plasticy formed chairs raised each row so every chair is viewable.

Micheal flopped down on the chair and pulled out her pad. "Numbers 44, 56, 58, 77 and 99." She took a deep on the last one. Each person started to settle in a seat. The large area in front was blocked off but clearly visible as she waited for the auction to begin. "You have your paddle right?" Micheal waved her paddle, that she brought just in case, for emphasis. She wasn't planning on buying anything but then again.. she shrugged to her own thoughts. She stared at the bold 113 numbers on her paddle washing away at her eyes.
OOC: Don't ask about the last sentence. <<

Hope pulled the paddle out of her large jacket pocket. She grinned and placed it on her lap. She'd gotten number 112.
Hope looked down at the list of numbers. "Who's 44?" she asked, not recognizing the number.
OOC:: Okay. I won't ask. -coughs in confusion-

"The one with the filed teeth. Maybe I should cross her off?" She could hear the person in front of her writing something and then cross it off.
She breathed a sigh of relief when the auction started each one went by with several bidders. They were all quality horses.

Hope shrugged. "I didn't take a close look at her. Do what you'd like. But I only have four trailer spaces. And one is reserved," She commented, referring to the slot the stallion would need to be in.
"How was the buckskin? I really want the three of them. Just hoping the prices don't go crazy." She sat back and waited for the auction to begin.

Micheal smiled and crossed off number 44. She breathed a sigh of relief when she heard forty-four being called in. The horse lumbered in sadly and she wondered if it was the same horse. "Looks drugged doesn't it?" Looking anxiously around she looked at the few people who were bidding on her. Mostly from the front row as the auctioneer called it out sophisticatedly unlike the usual dribble.. The mare sold for five-hundred. Micheal scoffed, with a price like that she was glad she brought her debit card. It would only be a little while until the first horse Hope wanted to bid on, number fifty-six. She wanted the auction to be over as soon as possible to get the horses home stress free and a certain horse plagued her mind. One that wouldn't come for a while now.

"I wouldn't be surprised..." Hope murmured to Micheal, watching the horse drag herself into the center of the arena.
Hope watched each of the horses walk in and out. The prices were staying low and she was wishing her four horses would stay the same.
Hope propped herself on the edge of her chair when number fifty-six, the buckskin Warmblood pranced into the ring, eyeing the crowd. His head was raised and the handler snapped the reins downward on the horse's mouth, making him throw his head higher. He jogged in a circle around the handler, tail raised and hooves lifted.
The bidding started at five-hundred dollars and there were around five bidders. Hope faught to stay ahead for a while and cringed when the bids got passed one thousand, two-hundred. There was one bidder who still looked happy to go higher, but pulled out at one thousand five hundred, leaving Hope with the Warmblood.
Hope shrugged to Micheal. Not a bad price for the Warmblood.

Micheal thought about buying the buckskin for ES. He was an amazing horse but still could use some polishing besides she only thought he would be a good jumper. She hadn't recognized the name of the horse but it did come from a prestigious stable insuring his good lines. Micheal sighed she didn't want to dump a horse on Hope if she didn't want one. "Bummer." She said resting her paddle on her lap. Maybe they would find a horse that they past over that Hope took a liking to. She raised her eyebrows as the prices started to rise father than she thought. For the level that the horse was at anyway.

Hope waited for the grey to come out and was relieved when there was only two other people interested.
Hope raised her paddle when the bidding started at three-hundred, surprised that it started lower than the buckskin. The bidding war ended at seven-hundred, shocking Hope why no one else was interested but she sat back and smirked at Micheal not minding the low price.
"I guess that went well," she commented.

"What a rush." Micheal whispered, half-joking, as the bidding for the next horse started. She mentally circled number 77. The next horses stayed even lower as she noticed the quality of the horses declining slowly. Although the pony was a quality buy its seller probably signed up later. She tapped her shoe slowly on the floor as she waited.

Hope sat back and watched the horses come in. And go out. Each horse had at least one bidder, but the prices were getting lower and lower. People would leave every so often most likely to pack up their horse and go home, not interested in anything else.
Hope alerted when the pony came out. He moved better than she thought he would. He strutty step lengthened and he lifted his hooves higher while moving to the center of the ring.
Hope studied the other bidders and she continued raising her paddle. She had to get this horse.
"Yess," she muttered seeing bidders drop out quickly.
The last bidder dropped out. Ending at one thousand dollars, Hope had gotten the pony.
Already at three-thousand, two-hundred dollars for the day, she assumed she'd stay under 3.5k after the stallion appeared.

"What a show off." Micheal said watching the animal trot out of the ring. Each horse passed by with few bidders some left without one. It was only one horse before #99. She caught her breath.
