Try taking a look at my post about my character and her horse. That's about what you want in a description. You'll need to come up with a name, age, all that jazz for your character that hasn't already been used by someone else. That means you can't RP as a character from a book, movie, poem... you get the picture. You have to make this person up yourself.

Also try to be as descriptive as possible. Include things like age, hair/eye color, family history, how long with horses, marital status, and (the most important) personality (likes/dislikes, favorite foods, that kind of thing.)

When making a horse for your character, make it realistic. This means you can't have a purple horse with pink stockings or anything. You should also include things like height, breed, age, color, markings (realistic), favorite treats, attitude, disposition, training level, discipline... you get the idea.

Also remember that horses here cannot talk, etc.
